Knit: Project
The challenge of this brief was to design and make a 'Thneed', inspired by the concept of the highly versatile knit object of Dr Seuss' The Lorax, which fulfilled a particular purpose using knit processes. This required me to identify a client within the Wellington region, and design a 'Thneed' that met their specified needs. Traditional and contemporary knit techniques, colour trends, textural imagery and a finalised mood board and end-use board would inform my progress toward a final knitted object.

"MOSSO-FLAUGE"
My client required a warm knitted hood that would keep her warm in the unpredictable Wellington weather, suit her style and be easy to wear. Her love for nature, texture and colour inspired me to design a reversible hood that gave her the choice to wear whatever side, textured or more subtle, whenever she wanted.
