DIGITAL EMBROIDERY

Inspired by the Scottish Bell Heather flower, discovered on a trip to Scottish highlands

The aim of this paper was to gain an understanding of the digital embroidery process - learning the Tajima Pulse software for a single-head machine, and experimenting with the various stitches.

The final outcome was an embroidered garment, with the imagery inspired by botanics. Using a zero-waste dress to showcase the embroidery was a key element to my project, as reducing waste in the textile & fashion industry is important to consider.
